The final term starts this week. I met my new tutor, Cynthia, and the new Unite 4 tutorial group. The Unite 4 is the “Applied Imagination” stage, and it’s the final step for my Master’s study in CSM, according to the course handbook. The Unit 4 requires:
Unit 4 requires students to complete the external testing of their research question, and their reflections on and analysis of its outcomes. The Unit comprises the completion, reflection on and ordering of the research outcomes, and the preparation of the presentation of the student’s conclusions for assessment at the conclusion of the Unit. The Unit 4 outcomes are extremely diverse, and are not necessarily represented by any physical object. The students present evidence of iterative change within relevant stakeholder communities, and this evidence may be embodied as iterated artefacts, images, video, sound, web-based activity or may take many other forms.
So, at the end of Unit 3, my question is, ” How to Evoke Culture Empathy Among Generation Z Through Chinese Dietary Culture in the New Era?” But after the presentation, I’ve realised that’s a broad question. Generation Z is a big group, and Culture Empathy is a big world. I also want to combine Chinese dietary culture with the Chinese eating disorder group. Because I spent the whole summer studying the Eating disorder issue. I’ve learned interpretations of eating disorders in both Eastern and Western psychological contexts.
After thought, my question is,
” How can Chinese eating disorder groups (18-26) establish healthy eating habits in their family environment?”
or
“How can my research support Chinese eating disorders patients (18-26) establish healthy lifestyles within the family environment?”
The suggestion from my colleague Carolina, I back to the question, “The Change I want to see?”. So, what do I want to change? Deep in my mind, I want to talk about eating disorders due to family authority. Could it include some exploration of traditional Chinese family ethics? I hope that the group of 18-26 people in China will not feel ashamed in the early stages of eating disorders or when there are signs of eating disorders but can realise the dangers in time and actively seek help from outside. At the same time, I also hope that the family members of the patients can help them. I hope the knowledge of eating disorders can spread to Chinese families. Therefore, in Unit 4, the keywords are “Eating Disorders”, “Family Help”, and “Young People”. And the target group is aged 18-26 Chinese people with eating disorders.
